Cristalina!

After Caldas Novas we went to a town called Cristalina where we were able to see many, many rocks. We even went to a crystal mine and JP found the water! The water was supper clear, clean, and deep! There were rocks everywhere! So pretty! Dad was so happy! It was a beautiful place!

Hot Water Parks!

Last Monday we went to Caldas Novas hot springs! We went to 3 hot water parks and spent our days soaking in warm water! There were water slides!! This was a highlight for Kimberly and her mom. Kimberly’s Dad and JP went down the slides too! Some pools were hotter than others and some were cool. At night the pools are emptied, cleaned, and then refilled by morning. The water is the best when it is just coming into the pool. So, it was fun to go out and get in the fresh water at night.

Cross Cultural Concert

We went to an Argentine and Brazilian cross cultural concert. The music was so good!!

A visit to the school and Brazil Volleyball!

We are having a full time here. :) The food is so good! The past few days we've given Mom and Dad the tour around town. We were able to take them to the school we'll be teaching in. We were given tickets to watch Brazil play Peru in women's volleyball!!! Brazil won. It was a blow out really. It was fun watching them spike! Brazil won the first 3 sets so it was a short game but fun! They gave us t-shirts at the door.

Our Summer 2011

We have had an eventful summer!  After a yard sale we packed up our apartment with the help of some awesome friends. God sent the "angels" in to help us. It was a major effort but with the help of our friends and family we were able to get it done.

Kimberly was able to spend some time with the family at the beach for a week while JP finished up a class in Atlanta. Then we spent two weeks in Mississippi for training through the school we will be working at. We learned a lot about the structure of the school, the transitions of living abroad, safety, and a better understanding of children who move from country to country.  We also met some wonderful people there.  Our host family was gold!  We are so thankful to have met them and have a retreat to go to after the long days of training.

We made it to Brazil this week.  Mom and Dad are here with us for a few weeks.  We have been touring the city, eating delicious food, and spending time with family here.  It has been an adventure already!

Merry Christmas! Feliz Natal!

We were blessed with a white Christmas this year!!! We loved playing in the snow! Check out our biggest snowman ever! We've had a super Christmas break so far, with lots of family gatherings, good food and awesome parties. Congratulations to the Burns on their 40th wedding anniversary! We celebrated with family and friends at Innoko's in Athens. So fun to see the chef cooking in front of us... Now a few more days of rest and here we go 2011!

4 Wells!!!

You like water? Off course! But thousands of people in Asia do not have access to clean water!

Gospel for Asia has an amazing ministry that installs water wells next to churches and missionary bases, so that the missionaries can provide the natives drinking and Living water!
